Planning a wedding requires a lot of decision making. In between choosing the color palette for your big day, deciding on the table linens color and texture, attending the appointments with your florist, venue, photographer, and dealing with the one bridesmaid that just doesn’t want the dress you selected, it’s no surprise that planning a wedding can be nearly as stressful as it is exciting. Luckily, you don’t have to constantly be in wedding planning mode. Take a few minutes each day to simply relax, de-stress and look at the big picture. I’ve got a few unique ideas with essential oils that just might make things easier to unwind with:
SKIN CARE ROUTINE
I am a minimalist when it comes to skin care. Lately, I have been trying to put more thought into what products goes on my face and body. Young Living has quite a few creams and serums and other things for your skin full of oily goodness!
Orange Blossom Facial Wash
The Orange Blossom face wash is divine and smells lovely. Use this every night to wash your face. It will quickly become a favorite!
Satin Face Scrub Mint
The Satin Face scrub is a water-based exfoliant. While I don’t use face scrubs every night, they are nice to use to rejuvenate skin before date nights, weddings, or other big social gatherings. It smells so amazing! The Satin Face scrub is safe to use every other night after washing your face with the above face wash.
ART Refreshing Toner
ART Refreshing Toner gently removes impurities without drying the skin. It’s cooling and refreshing on your face while working hard to balance your skin’s pH levels, reduce the appearance of pores, and remove impurities.
ART Light Moisturizer
Young Living has a bunch of different lotions and moisturizers to choose from. I’ve used several brands and have never felt like my skin remained silky smooth shortly after applying. Meaning I have to buy more and more bottles. The ART Light Moisturizer helps your skin retain and maintain proper hydration. The ART Light moisturizer is very light and is perfect in the morning whether I am putting on makeup or not.
Savvy Minerals by Young Living
If you’re into natural beauty, you’re in serious luck! This year Young Living announced a new addition to their skin care line: Savvy Minerals. This brand-new line of cosmetics features a range of chemical-free, mineral-based products including foundation, blush, bronzer, eyeshadow, eyeliner, and translucent powder. You will also find an all-natural, skin-soothing finishing spray and a range of sheer lipsticks and peppermint oil-infused glosses. Basically, everything you need to complete your daily and wedding day beauty routine. One of the coolest things I like about using the mineral makeup is that it is easily buildable, so you can use the same makeup shades and achieve a soft, subtle look or a dramatic, darker look, depending on your wedding day preference.
Other skin care products Young Living offers you may find interesting include Wolfberry eye cream, Boswellia wrinkle cream, Essential Beauty Serum and ART Creme masques. Essential oils that are great for your skin include frankincense, sandalwood, jasmine and myrrh.
If you are a current Young Living member, I recommend looking at what you already use on a daily basis and then replacing that with similar Savvy Minerals products. If you are NOT a Young Living member yet, and you want to get started with the makeup currently offered my suggestion would be to purchase a basic starter kit that is $45 and comes with a complimentary 5ml bottle of Stress Away essential oil (another amazing oil on your wedding day!) then add on the make up that you want. This way will get you a makeup makeover and a wholesale membership with Young Living so you can continue getting makeup, essential oils, personal care products, and more at the wholesale price. Win-win!
Restful sleep is important for everyone but especially for a bride-to-be! Thankfully essential oils can be very calming and relaxing so they are a great addition to your nighttime routine leading up to (and long after) your wedding day.
With a little DIY you can put together a cream that is so easy to make and easy to use. It’s simply a base of coconut oil with a mixture of essential oils that may help to promote relaxation. This recipe is SUPER flexible! Don’t have an oil listed? Leave it out and sub it for another oil of your choosing that promotes personal relaxation. You can’t really do it wrong.
DIY sleep cream recipe
1/2 cup coconut oil
10 drops lavender
10 drops Stress Away
10 drops Eucalyptus
10 drops lemon
10 drops Peace & Calming
Whip the coconut oil in a mixer. Add oils and mix together. That’s it. Store the mixture in a glass jar.
Rub a little of the cream on your feet before bed to help you relax and rest easy.

Want to create unique wedding invitations your guests will never forget? Add fragrance! Scented stationery is nothing new. Unfortunately, sending scented stationery has faded along with the tradition of writing letters. I would love for us to bring it back!
Adding fragrance to your wedding invitation envelopes adds a touch of romance I can’t help but rave about! I recommend using essential oils because they are a more natural way of adding fragrance. Plus, they last longer and better for the environment.
Something to keep in mind, rubbing oils directly on your wedding invitations as it will stain the paper. Add the fragrance to the envelopes by dabbing some oil on the outer most corners of the gummed strip on the envelope flap. Then be sure to use an envelope moistener to moisten the entire flap for sealing. When guests open the envelope, they’ll be greeted with the aroma of fresh flowers!
Choosing the oil is probably the hardest part of the whole process. There are so many lovely oils to choose from! Take your time choosing the right scent. Essential oils like rose oil and jasmine oil will add the perfect finishing touch to your invitations.
