When packing for your honeymoon, first and foremost, ask yourself: can I run an obstacle course with my luggage? I am serious.
If you are honeymooning in Europe, you will most likely be traveling by train. Most train stations there don’t have elevators or escalators so even if you’re splurging for taxis, you’ll need to be able to carry whatever you bring up and down flights of stairs, possibly while sprinting if you’re trying to catch a train. With that in mind, I encourage you to consider:
One suitcase – the largest of a purchased trio set. The key thing to remember is that many “large” suitcases are 31-32 inches, but the one above is only 28 inches.Which doesn’t sound like a big difference but when traveling it makes a huge difference. With that additional space you run the risk of going over 50 pounds which will cost you additional fees. The shorter suitcases provide more leverage when picking them up, too. Another stylish suit case can be found here.
This style bag is a complete game changer! Keep your hands free by wearing your laptop in a backpack so you are able to manhandle your suitcase quickly and easily. As a mom who has to wrangle a toddler daily, keeping my hands free is a must when traveling. Check out more backpack options here and don’t forget a laptop sleeve.
I also like to carry small crossbody purse with me, too. That’s it. Your hands will be completely free for your suitcase!
